Its probably the biggest lie of business: Look at me! Everything’s fantastic! Everything I touch turns to gold. And I can show you how to do it too!
Bull! Because the truth is … if you are in business (yep, even those ultra successful mega-entrepreneurs with the fancy videos and websites) at one point or another you were scared. Filled with terror. You may even be there now.
What you don’t know is the secret many those of ultra-successful people share … that helped them get through those days and nights when they felt they had totally blown it.
And here it is. It’s called:

Speaking of taking control of your business success:
Would it help to have magnetic messaging nuggets in your back pocket to help grow your list and make more money?
OK, that’s a silly question. Let me rephrase that … Would it help to have 125 subject lines, a proven 7-step copy conversion formula and a formula for seductive bullet points that ignite interest and excitement for your great stuff?
(And that’s most of the time …)
Then check out this Seductive List Booster Bundle. Until I change my mind, it won’t cost you a dime!
Love the Spoof-a-summit. What a great idea! lol. Also really digging the graphic format. What did you create this in?
Spot on. Happened to me many times. Thanks to your thoughtful graphic it won’t happen again.
Thank you Teesi. So pleased it had an impact on you.
Oh how this post touched me. That fear is so real. I blog about it myself. Write about it. Coach others how to push through it. But, I still get it! Thanks for the graphic. I am going to print it out to remind myself that successis right beyond! Close, in fact!
Thank you for your honesty, Martha. That is why so many top peformers in every field have a coach themselves. Just about all of us go thru it. And while its easy to see other stuff, and guide them through it … its very hard to see our own. How positive you've had this insight!
Hi Rob, Just loved this!!! It is so very true.
I have fought the fight and won in one part of my head. And then the financial piece with pick up the ball and run with it for a while. What will this cost you …… What if it doesn't work…… finally I woke up one morning and said to myself…. Who do you trust on this you or the white noise in your head?
Yes make good decsions, but follow the brillance in what you are creating and doing. Trust Yourself in This!!! Thanks you for your wisdom once again. You are delivering it to all that are listening. <3
Glad this helped you Jody. Thank you. And you're right … at some point you have to trust yourself. It doesn't mean you won't make mistakes. It doesn't mean you can't accept guidance from someone who has been there before. But when you allow the Terror Curve you keep you stuck, you're not taking the action that really is the only way up and out.
Great work to move through this.
OK. My terror curve has been (still is?) a long and hard one: My belief that parents are more important than teachers in helping children learn goes against all my professional upbringing as an educator. I was terrified of upsetting colleagues. What would they think of me? Would they denounce my ideas in public?
To be honest Rob this terror has kept me stuck for years. Then we had a chat about taking control – nothing to do really with my beliefs, it was about another situation – and I suddenly got it! So what if colleagues disagree with me? I have an important message to give to parents and I intend to do it.
Phew! That terror curve has been long and drawn out for me. Time to let it go!! Time to take control. Feels good. Feels like I should have done it ages ago – but better late than never.
Patricia — as my white tiger from the post would say, "That's Right!" Better late than never.
Actually, a little controversy is actually helpful. It helps you stand out. It gets you noticed. It gives you a voice. And it connects with all the parents out there who are saying to themselves, "You know, I bet I could really help my child! But I don't know how!"
The Terror Curve is an obstacle … but it looks like you've gotten through it! Congrats!
