If the parade seems never-ending … it is.

Watching YouTube videos on advancements in AI was fun when there were only a few of them a month. But with hundreds pouring down on you every week, it makes you wonder if it’s every going to stop.

So I had an idea:
What if I did the sorting for you, and showed you a few that could save you time and money right now?

Well that’s exactly what I decided to do.

None of these are tip-the-light-fantastic. They won’t brew your coffee, keep you company on a dark rainy night or create a lifelike video of your childhood dog.

But they can make your business easier and more profitable. Which is probably what you’d rather have, right?

1. Claude:

.
Yep, Claude is a funny name for an AI that competes with ChatGPT.

So you’re using ChatGPT … why consider Claude? Especially when ChatGPT has so many bells, whistles, add-ons and apps?

As marketers, entrepreneurs and business owners, messaging is crucial to our ability to grab attention.

And my experience with Claude is that it churns out copy that’s more creative and responds to my direction with fewer follow-up instructions than ChatGPT. And seems to have a have a more intuitive feel for marketing hooks and things like:

  • Subject Lines
  • Headlines
  • Email Copy
  • Spot-on Social Media Ideas

So instead of returning copy that merely follows a specific structure, it give you something with flair, and more of the specific voice and vibe you’ve asked for.

If you’re looking to accomplish more technical goals, like creating tables, writing code, or looking for a step-by-step workflow, ChatGPT might be a better bet.

But if you’re looking for stuff that’s catchy, creative and compelling, Claude is worth a look.

2. PromptBase Prompt Marketplace

.
Getting wild and crazy stuff from an AI image generator is easy.

Getting something specific, that matches that perfect picture in your mind is almost impossible.

Enter the PromptBase Marketplace.

It’s an online prompt superstore for prompts where you can search for the look and style of the result you want, and then choose the one that comes the closest.

HOT TIP:
A basic search from the home page reveals a more detailed search panel that allows you to dial in specific details of what you’re looking for. You can even limit your search to specific AI apps (Midjourney / Leonardo).

What makes it easy is you can view sample images created with that prompt BEFORE you buy.

If you’ve ever futzed around for 30-minutes or more trying to get the look you want, the very affordable rates on these prompts are well worth it.

Whether you’re searching for a “photorealistic influencer portrait” or a “Pixar-style character”, Promptbase serves up multiple options to choose from.

Yes it does have one of those increasingly frustrating Captchas (Arrrgh!) but its well worth it for the time you save trying to come up with an effective prompt on your own.

3. iStockPhoto AI Generator

.
You may have thought AI and stock photos have nothing in common.

Well, that’s all changed with the new iStockPhoto AI Generator. It allows you to bypass the frustrating endless search through hundreds of options to find the right photo, by entering a simple prompt.

The AI Generator responds to your prompt with four options based on their image creation engine trained on its vast library of images. It even offers you a four-step process to generate more accurate prompts.

Or, if you’re more experienced with prompts, you can enter your own.

But there’s more …

After generating the four options you can either choose one to download, or you can ask iStockPhoto to find similar options, drawn from its massive library of photos.

You can even post-process your image, and swap a blue sky for a cloudy one, or intensify colors in a specific area.

If you’ve ever been frustrated with the ’needle-in-a-haystack’ method of finding the right stock photo from hundreds of options, this AI image generator could be a lifesaver.

There is one thing to remember about AI tools, or any tool for that matter:

And that is:  How much is it going to help you?

And unless you are a super-nerd trend-setter there are two possibilities that can really simplify things:

Which ones are mature tools (i.e. not filled with problems, artifacts or bugs) that you can use right now to solve problems you have right now.

And which ones could you see yourself using in six months to a year, that align with the stage of business and the challenges you will be dealing with then.

And because I’m a super-nerd (but not a trend-setter) there’s a third category:

Is there a tool to keep my eye on that might open up a whole new revenue stream? Or greatly enhance one of my existing ones?

Things are changing in a big way. While everyone is screaming at you not to be left behind, I would be equally vigilant about not letting AI overwhelm you.

Or take you off in a bright shiny direction, that isn’t going to deliver bright shiny profits.

As I’ve said before: AI is not the boss of you.

Make sure you use it in ways that work for your business. And not against it.
